ON THE ISSUES

TAXES AND SPENDING
Ogden has been a strong voice for small government in the State Senate. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, Ogden worked to help cut state spending to pre-2008 levels. Ogden has also fought every attempt to increase taxes on Wyoming residents, and will continue to do so.

JOBS AND THE ECONOMY
As a small business owner, Ogden understands how government regulations can hurt businesses from getting off the ground and stifle growth. During the 2018 session of the Wyoming Legislature, Ogden was at the forefront of sponsoring legislation to make it easier for businesses to call Wyoming home. Since then, the state has seen an entire new industry start with over 200 businesses registering since March.

AGRICULTURE
As a fifth generation rancher, Ogden has first hand experience in many problems facing ag producers. Ogden has, and will continue, to support legislation directed to helping ag producers sell their products and make a living without government breathing down their neck.

ENERGY
Wyoming has faced an onslaught of attacks from Washington DC. The past few years bureaucracies and the left have waged a war on coal, which has left families unemployed and crippled local economies.
In Cheyenne, Ogden will fight for Wyoming's energy sector and push back unnecessary federal regulation and attacks.

SECOND AMENDMENT
Ogden has been one of the most ardent defenders of the right to bear arms. During the 2018 Session of the Wyoming Legislature, Ogden co-sponsored the "Stand Your Ground" legislation to help protect lawful gun owners. He supported adotion of the "Castle Doctrine" in Wyoming.
